Ratebutter is a free quoting tool for licensed insurance agents, run by Ratebutter, Inc. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect from agents
- Your email address, so you can sign in.
- A scrambled copy (a hash) of your API key. We can't read your key.
- The date you accepted the terms.
What we do with your leads' information
When your workflow sends us a lead's details, we use them to work out a price, then send the price back. We don't store the lead's message or any of the details sent with it, such as date of birth, zip, gender or tobacco use, and we never receive or store their name or phone number. For each quote we keep the product, the lead's age and state, the result and the time, so you can see your recent quotes on your dashboard.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. No ads, no tracking, no analytics cookies.
Who else handles data
Supabase stores our database. Vercel runs the site. Resend sends sign in emails. We don't sell or share data with anyone else.
Deleting your account
Email support@ratebutter.com and we'll delete your account, your key and your quote history.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top.
