Who can use it
Ratebutter is for licensed insurance agents. Carrier rate sheets are for agent use only. Don't give consumers direct access to the API or the rates.
Prices can be wrong
Rates come from carrier rate sheets and may be out of date or wrong. Confirm every premium in the carrier's portal before you write business. You are responsible for any quote you send.
Your responsibilities
- Be licensed, and appointed where required, in every state you sell in.
- Have the consent the law requires before you text a lead, and follow the texting and marketing rules that apply to you.
- Keep your API key private. Anything done with your key is on your account.
Our rights
We can change or stop the service, add or remove products, and turn off any key that is being abused, at any time and without notice.
No warranty
Ratebutter is free and provided as is, with no warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Ratebutter, Inc. is not liable for any loss that comes from using it, including a wrong price.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kansas.
